The day has arrived for breakfast in bed, homemade cards and cleaning the kitchen for the underappreciated mothers of the world. Although mothers definitely do not get the appreciation that they deserve, using one day a year to make up for the other 364 days of not expressing gratitude might end up having a reverse effect. Knowing that mothers day will make up for every other day we all are ungrateful might actually be more of a cause to be ungrateful simply because handing over a card on mothers day will erase the other 364 days of the year. Being a parent is arguably the most difficult and stressful job that anyone can have, and for most of a kids childhood they will likely take their parents actions for them for granted until they are grown up with their own kids and they beg their parents for forgiveness. Though I'm clearly exaggerating a lot of elements here, a lot of it does hold true. So happy mothers day to all, and hear's to striving to appreciate our parents more for the entire year, instead of just on one day. <3
